Lies, Thomas W. Lies. “Her” attorney. Lies.

Since July 2, 2010 Thomas W. Lies has represented “her”. At the first hearing where he appeared with her, in early 2011, he was told by Chief Judge John Scherer that “Tom and Emily, you need to find a way to co-parent and stop trying to get Dustin in trouble”.

Four years later, we find that Lies continues to do just that. On September 15, 2013 “her” now husband (JP) falsely alleged that he was assaulted by Dustin after he dropped Dustin’s son off for supervised visitation. JP falsely alleged that he was pushed. He called the police to a “domestic dispute”. The officer determined that the allegations “fit no crime”.

Somehow three months later Dustin was charged with two counts of fifth degree assault “garden variety” and one count of disorderly conduct. Dustin hired an attorney.

Dustin had no choice but to hire a new attorney. His new attorney immediately got to work making motion to continue. It was denied. In requesting the States evidence the answer to the underlying question was found. Why was Dustin charged? The officer found the allegations fit no crime. Lies.

On the same day that Lies lost a motion in the family matter, he wrote a letter to the Minneapolis City Attorney. Along with it he sent an affidavit that was used in the family matter to end supervised parenting time for Dustin and his son. This affidavit was by an alleged witness of this falsely alleged in incident. In fact it states that she witnessed an incident eight days prior to the alleged incident. Unfortunately this affidavit was made by the Chief Federal Defender for the District of Minnesota, Katherine Rowe. She did not provide a witness statement to the police or the state, but she signed an affidavit in support of ending Dustin’s parenting time.

Lies stated that the intent of his letter was to ask why Dustin hadn’t been charged. That in his 30 years of practicing criminal law that he did not see any rule or law that gave Dustin a “pass”. He carbon copied Dustin’s son’s mother. Lies’s client. Lies. Trying to get Dustin in trouble? Retaliating for loosing his motion? Retaliation for JP’s brother who is a Defendant in a Federal Lawsuit where Dustin is the plaintiff and Lies has been mentioned?
